This Privacy Policy explains how Buildwick ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Buildwick mobile application and related services. By using Buildwick, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Buildwick is a job and material cost tracking app for tradespeople and contractors, operated by Nyle Studio, based in Serbia. Buildwick is currently free to download and use. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@buildwick.app.

2. Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address. You may also use the app in guest mode, which does not require an email address or any personal identifier.

Data you create. We store the content you enter, such as projects, jobs, clients, material and labor costs, expenses, dates, and notes. This is used only to provide the app's features to you.

Subscription information. Buildwick is currently free to use, with no subscription required. If a paid subscription becomes available in the future, any payment would be processed by Apple or Google, and we would only receive your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) via our payments provider, RevenueCat. We never receive or store your card number or payment details.

Technical and diagnostic information. We may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system, and app version to operate the app, fix bugs, and improve reliability.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and sync the app's features across your devices
  • To create and manage your account
  • To process and manage your subscription
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To detect, prevent, and fix security issues and bugs
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process your data on these legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the app and your account
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the app secure and improve it
  • Consent — where required (you may withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data by law

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and do not use your data for advertising. We share data only with service providers who help us run the app:

  • Supabase — cloud database and authentication (stores your account and app data)
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription status
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — process subscription payments

These providers are bound to process your data only as needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Tracking and analytics

Buildwick does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not use advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA). Any technical data we collect is used solely to operate and improve Buildwick.

7. Data storage, location, and international transfers

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure and may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in other regions. Where data is transferred internationally, our providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to safeguard your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and the content you created are permanently removed from our active systems, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. Guest-mode data is removed when the guest session or app data is cleared.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to erasure")
  • Export / port your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these, use the in-app tools (below) or email us at support@buildwick.app. EEA/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

10. How to delete your account and data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app. Open your Profile page and scroll to the bottom to find the Delete Account option. This permanently removes your account and the data you created. You can also request deletion by emailing support@buildwick.app.

11. Children's privacy

Buildwick is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you in the app.
